HI THERE!

We are Seth and Jenna Wright; a husband and wife team currently living in an industrial barn that we've recently renovated from top to bottom, while raising and homeschooling our fives littles, and running a few businesses on the side. Seth is a bearded carpenter that doesn't say a whole lot but dreams as big as the stars, and I'm a tiny person with more to say than anyone could ever have time to hear. Here we'll document it all as we navigate our way through the crazy, together. Next project - The Orchard House! Welcome friends! We're so glad you're here! xx

Dad’s been fighting a rare form of bone cancer for three years now. When he was diagnosed the prognosis wasn’t great- they wouldn’t do radiation or chemo because they said it wouldn’t help, and didn’t give him much hope.
Last week they went in for the first time in over a year to see if the cancer had spread... and miraculously it *still* hadn’t. The contrary even, the bone looks healthier and more dense than it did a year ago! He works twelve hour days on his feet, crutch in hand, designing beautiful bouquets of flowers side by side with mom. They have fought for and worked for their kind of Love, through raising (+ homeschooling) nine children, and now forty grandchildren to leave this legacy of love for. Together they’ve spent countless hours on their knees asking God for guidance and praying for healing. Mom gives him over sixty supplements of herbs and vitamins each morning, and an all organic (mostly grown from their own garden) diet. And this Love, this all consuming desperately beautiful kind of love is healing what they said was incurable. THIS kind of love my friends, is what it’s all about.
And while we never know what the future holds, we know their love is enough for whatever comes, and we’re just grateful to be able to witness it all. ❤️ xx @wright_flower_co #truelove

Ladies and gentlemen... I present you THE MOST ASKED ABOUT ROOM OF OUR HOUSE! 😆🙌🏻 This open shower wash room is my favorite room and one I plan to repeat in the new pioneer Reno, as well as the Orchard House project! It’s a shower, a washroom, a dog shower, a dreamy kid bath, a plant bath, and the easiest room of all time to clean! 🙌🏻 The beautiful brass hardware is from my dear friends at @kingstonbrass, and the sink, tub, and chandelier are all antique. I answered all your most asked questions on my stories today, but if you have any others leave them below and I’ll answer them shortly! Happy Tuesday friends! ✨ xx

How cute is our new little 1876 pioneer home?! 😆 She’s quaint, packed full of history and charm, and only ever had four previous owners! The last owner just gave her a new shake roof, new HVAC, and restored all the original brick and trim to her former beauty! And on the opposite side, attached there is a tiny little one bedroom log cabin that dates back to the 1860’s! ❤️ and the best part? She’s zoned residential and commercial! 🙌🏻 which means, you guessed it- we’ll be living here while we build the orchard house, and then be able to run a small business out of it after. We’ll be gutting the kitchen, and bathrooms and giving her a few updates inside and I can’t wait to take you all along with us! This will all be happening in the next 2.5 months before we move in... 😅 so any and all prayers and good juju are appreciated! 😆🙏🏼😂

We are building a workshop on our orchard house property, for Seth to be able to build furniture in again, and he is so excited to get going! Isn’t it funny how we make a plan, God laughs, and then guides us to something even better? If I’ve learned anything through this maze called life, Its that: His way is ALWAYS better. ❤️ Happy Sunday friends.

This gorgeous space by @artistresidence in London, is sooo incredibly beautiful and providing so much inspiration for the master bedroom in our orchard house build! I want our home to have all the charm and class of an old English manor, but to be small enough to never lose anyone in it. Small and cozy, but oozing with charm. ✨That is my goal. 💛

Also, Thank you so much for all your recommendations for what to include as we design and build our home! There were so many great ideas from so many of you, and we can’t wait to show you what we’re doing. .

I think most would say we’re a little bit unconventional- and there will be a lot of things that might surprise you with how we’re choosing to do things, but aren’t all of our differences what makes life beautiful? I love learning about how others see the world. .

I’ve shared here before about why I love having my kids share a room... and one of the things I’m most excited for is our kids’ suites. We’re doing a girls suite and a boys suite, and then our room will have a small ensuite for a nursery. The kids’ suites will be equipped with walk in closets, laundry rooms in each (so I never have to even see their laundry.. 🤞🏻😜🙏🏼) and a walk in shower bathroom with a claw tubs inside. 😆🙌🏻 And Holy macaroni (as my grandpa always said) I cannot WAIT! Happy Friday loves! ❤️xx

Do you remember back when you believed anything was possible? ✨ Or what it felt like to dream, and to really believe it would come true? Think about it for a minute with me friends, what was it that you truly wanted out of life? Way back before the world made you believe otherwise, perhaps?
Can you still see that picture of the life you wanted? Or has life become so clouded with the day to day of trying to make ends meet, or more of a survival situation where dreams are put on the back burner and you’re really just going through the motions, instead of really living? .

Now think, If you could make one change today to get where you want to be in five years from now, what would it be? What would it look like? Really ask yourself, is what you’re doing today getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow? These gestures don’t have to be anything grand or monumental... but you do have to remember every single day what you’re fighting for to keep your dream alive. .

I remember feeling like there as no way for us to ever have the life we dreamt of; ie. traveling with the kids, working together, and having land to raise the kids on. We were at a nine to five desk job, and barely making ends meet. We rarely saw each other and our marriage even suffered because of it. So we made some changes. We quit our job, and then we fought really hard... and today I can truly say, that we’re living our dream. And friends, if you’re not already, YOU CAN TOO! Just imagine the life you want to live, get rid of whatever is holding you back, and then live your life accordingly. Because it’s never too late to be happy, but it is all up to YOU. 💛✨

“Home is the nicest word there is.” 💛✨ And luckily for me, home isn’t within these walls, but wherever my people are. With all the change that is about to happen with our upcoming move(s) I’m so grateful for this. Whenever I get anxious or nervous, I just remind myself that there’s no place like home, wherever they may be. 💛

Also, FRIENDS! We met with our architect again yesterday and it’s all becoming real! All these dreams and plans on paper are becoming a reality and I’m still pinching myself that it’s happening! It’s also a lot of pressure to make sure your dream home has all the things your dreams are made of, you know? 😆😅 So tell me, If there was one thing you did, or would want to included in your dream home- what would it be? Well, we didn’t get it. 😏 Super bummed... but we made an offer on another really special little place yesterday that I cannot WAIT to show you! We’re still building our homestead on our property, but need another space for our business, and this would be SO PERFECT! 😆😍😭 we’ll also be able to live in it while we build our home. So here’s to hoping!!! 🤞🏻 My good friend Anne with an “E” said it best, 😉 “... and If God doesn’t answer I shall know it’s because He’s planning something better”. Hey guys, 👋🏻 Seth here hijacking my little lady’s account. Today is Jenna’s birthday and I’d love for each of you to help me wish her a Happy Birthday, and let her know just how loved she really is. If you know Jenna, you know she wrote the phrase ‘dynamite comes in small packages’, and is a force for righteousness. She is compassionate, kind, and loving to everyone, and to know her is to love her. She is the greatest example of what a woman should be, and I’ll be forever grateful that she is teaching my daughters how to be a strong, intelligent, compassionate and brave women that aren’t afraid to use their voice for good. With all this talk of Women’s rights, I’m so grateful she knows her inherent worth as a woman, and is teaching my girls as well. She is my everything and greatest wish come true, and I’m so grateful I get to spend forever with her. I’ve loved her since we were kids, and somehow forever still doesn’t seem long enough. Happy Birthday, my love. Love, your Seth.

I was so sick all day yesterday... the news from New York had me In tears. I cried and prayed, wrestling to find the words to share my heart here, but they didn’t come. So I cowardly posted a pretty interior picture and fumbled through some empty words. .

And truthfully, the words still haven’t come. I just can’t process it. I’m angry. I’m heartbroken. I’m sick that this is happening. That our own are celebrating the murder of innocent, pure, life- Gods children! And all in the name of “Me, My body! Women’s rights”! But that is not the issue! The sanctity of HUMAN LIFE is what we are talking about. This is the violent murder of those that don’t have a voice to speak for, or defend themselves! This is WRONG. 😭💔 .

And before you tell me not to get political, please save your breath. This is my space, and one day I will have to answer to God how I’ve used this platform He gave me, and I cannot with a clear conscious turn my head and keep quiet with something as horrendous as this. We need women that are willing to stand for righteousness- much like Ester, “for a time such as this”! We have to be brave and willing to use our voice for those that cannot. We have to stand up for truth! And it may feel as though it’s too big- that we’ll never make a difference- but we can! If we save one life, it is worth it. Taking a life is NEVER okay... Giving and taking life is up to God alone. Please tell me I’m not alone my friends ... 💔 please tell me you’ll stand with me? This cannot be the world we raise our babies in... it just cannot. 💔😥 Please sign the petition in my story. .

I believe in family. I believe in having children, and that motherhood is the greatest calling and gift we as women have been given. I believe we are all children of a Heavenly Father that loves us and wants us to be happy while on earth. And we can be! No matter where we’ve been, or what we’ve done- The atonement is real and covers it all. If you are an expectant mother and are considering an abortion- PLEASE MESSAGE ME. It is never the answer... someone is praying and longing for the baby you’re carrying. I will offer any comfort and assistance I can- PLEASE just reach out to me. 💔
